To be eligible for Flight Instructor Certificate, a person must:
A. Hold a current Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating;
B. Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language;
C. Comply with the applicable requirements.
The following is a breakdown of the flight times, ground instruction times and pre/post flight times that apply for the Flight Instructor Certificate given by our flight school, which is FAA approved by the United States Government, to train pilots for certificates and ratings. At current prices, this course costs approximately $6,220.00.
24.0 Hours Dual in a C-150
1.0 Hour Dual in a C-177RG
40.0 Hours Ground Instruction
10.0 Hours Pre/Post Flight
2.0 Hours Solo in a C-150 for Flight Test
1.0 Hour Solo in a C-177RG for Flight Test
Misc. Books, Supplies and Tests Fees: $731.00
These are minimum hours required by the FAA.
The student must complete required knowledge tests, stage checks and complete the course in order to graduate.
