Instrument Rating Course

To be eligible for an Instrument Rating, a person must:

A. Hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate with an aircraft category and class rating appropriate to the instrument rating for which the course applies prior to enrolling in the flight portion of the Instrument Rating Course;
B. Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language;
C. Comply with the applicable requirements.

The following is a breakdown of the flight times, ground instruction times and pre/post flight times that apply for the Instrument Rating Course given by our flight school, which is FAA approved by the United States Government, to train pilots for certificates and ratings. At current prices, this course costs approximately $7,520.00.

35.0 Hours Dual in a C-172
30.0 Hours Ground Instruction
10.0 Hours Pre/Post Flight
2.0 Hours Solo in a C-172 for Flight Test

Misc. Books, Supplies and Tests Fees: $661.00

These are minimum hours required by the FAA.

The student must complete required knowledge tests, stage checks and complete the course in order to graduate.
