To be eligible for a Private Pilot Certificate
You must:
A. Be at least 17 years of age;
B. Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language;
C. Hold at least a third (3rd) class medical.
The following is a breakdown of the flight times and ground instruction times that apply for the Private Pilot Certification Course given by our flight school, which is FAA approved by the United States Government, to train pilots for certificates and ratings. At current prices, this course costs approximately $6,706.00 (Part 141). This program takes from 4-12 months to complete.
5.0 Hours Solo in a Cessna 150
30.0 Hours Dual in a Cessna 150
35.0 Hours Ground Instruction
8.0 Hours Pre-Post Flight
2.0 Hours Solo in a Cessna 150 for Flight Test
Misc. Books, Supplies and Tests Fees: $495.00
These are minimum hours required by the FAA.
The student must complete required knowledge tests, stage checks and complete the course in order to graduate.
